The Approach

Decision making is a skill. You can get better at it.

Most of us were never taught how to decide. We learned on the job, under pressure, often alone. So we second-guess, stall, or go with whatever is loudest in the room.

The pressure isn't easing. Work moves faster, AI puts more options in front of us, and more decisions land on fewer people. Speed is easy to find. Clear judgment is harder.

Confidence doesn't come from always being right. It comes from knowing how you decide, what you're weighing, and why. Like any skill, that gets stronger with structure and practice.

A simple way to think it through

  • Name. Say what the decision actually is.

  • Weigh. Get clear on what matters and what each option costs.

  • Uncover. Find the assumptions and pressures shaping your thinking.

  • Notice. Pay attention to your patterns and what you keep circling back to.

  • Move. Choose a next step you can stand behind.

Three ways to build the skill

Private coaching for one decision or a season of them. We work through what's in front of you and build how you decide, so you carry it into the next one.
